About the Course
Welcome to the "Managing Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing" E-learning Course.
This course has been created in collaboration between European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), with support of the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The aim of this course is to raise awareness, improve knowledge and for a better understanding of identification and prevention of work-related psychosocial risks and the management of workplace mental health and wellbeing by managers and supervisors.
The course provides practical advice on measures that can be taken to raise awareness on general aspects of mental health and wellbeing, workplace wellbeing and the organisational factors that impact organisational health and wellbeing and the health and wellbeing of workers. It describes sources of potential psychosocial harm in the workplace considering the risk factors that are associated with potential mental health and wellbeing issues at the workplace – the way we work (e.g. workloads, isolation, work life balance, traumas, including conflict and post conflict events) social factors (like organisational culture, working relationships, bullying, harassment, vulnerable groups, displacement and conflict, etc.). Through this course, managers and supervisors will learn how to address psychosocial risks in the workplace and the examples of good practices in adopting a mental health strategy and policies, promotion of an inclusive workplace culture and elimination of stigma, and will find practical measures and existing tools available to enable conversations and support cultural change.
