About the Course 

Welcome to the "Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace" E-learning course.

This course has been created in collaboration between European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

The aim of this course is to raise awareness of general aspects of mental health and wellbeing, and the organisational factors that impact the health and wellbeing of individual workers. 

This course, and the resources provided, should increase your awareness of mental health in the workplace. The course highlights the importance of conversations and reporting identified issues that may affect work to manager or human resources, and how to manage your own mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Following completion of all three modules and the course assessment you should be able to proactively manage your wellbeing and take action to support your colleagues.

Course Curriculum

Module One: Workplace mental health and wellbeing 
The Learner will: 
LO1: Understand a workers’ responsibility in relation to workplace mental health and wellbeing. 
LO2: Understand an organisations responsibility in relation to workplace mental health and wellbeing in association with international standards.
LO3: Identify psychosocial risks in the workplace.  

Module Two: Managing your own mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
The Learner will: 
LO1: Identify potential risk factors that are associated with mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
LO2: Understand ways to manage your own mental health and wellbeing.
LO3: Understand common mental health conditions.

Module Three: Supporting yourself and colleagues
The Learner will: 
LO1: Identify poor mental health in yourself and colleagues.
LO2: Understand how to support yourself and colleagues when returning to work after a period of absence. 
LO3: Understand how to seek advice from management when required.
